Ginger Lily Farm is a backyard family business which sprouted in 2011 and is located in an urban farm in Ormewood Park in Atlanta. From this bountiful acre, we grow and sell seasonal, locally grown vegetables, herbs, fruits and edible flowers. Our specialty is in the unique, rare, and heirloom varieties.  Although this restricts the amount of produce we provide, we specialize in quality, not quantity. We provide to you only the very best of what’s growing in our revolutionary organic garden.

Our Practices
Our 1 acre garden is based on holistic agrarian growing principles, which affect the work ethic, management and stewardship of the growing grounds. We grow only seasonally with the natural rhythms in harmony with nature. If a particular produce is out of season for the Georgia area, we do not try to unnaturally force it to grow in our garden through greenhouses, hydroponics or other unnatural methods. Our growing method is bio-intensive beds. Using this method, we double dig our beds to 24 inches and supplement the soil with compost. Minerals are added to the soil based on the needs of the soil. With 42 to 84 year's worth of topsoil remaining in the world, learning how to enrich, improve, and maintain soil - in a way that is sustainable is of vital importance if we, as a species are to survive.

French-Southern Fusion at the Farmers Market
Oone of the pleasures of visiting France is wandering through a traditional French market. And why not! The market, "le marché", is an integral part of life in virtually all French towns and large villages. John and Cindy spent 18 months in Belgium near the French border where their remembrances of the fresh produce and artisan food still dwells in their minds.  From this memory comes the idea of fruits and vegetables  alongside artisan food offerings from Ginger Lily, which can be found at various farmers markets around Atlanta or ordered from this website. Among the best selling foods are lavender flavored ganache, artisan breads including caramelized herb and onion rolls, macaroons (raspberry-rose buttercream and lavender flavored ganache), and truffles. The mache rosettes, baby carrots in varying hues, heirloom tomatoes, edible flowers, and haricot verts alongside our baked delicacies make for a truly inviting farmers market stand.
